Left my camera in Sara's car on Sunday night! Don't have a cell phone at this time so today's photo is from Morgan's phone. This is the lava lamp that he has had for something like 15+ years, that has been in our joint custody for the last two and a half years - I've barely ever even looked at it until we moved to our new place and started using it in our living room. These things are MY FAVORITE now. Not to sound like a stoner but I could watch the lava move through it's stages for hours on end. So relaxing! Now, enough stonertalk. Good night!

Laazy Sunday afternoon. Ended up out at the park again with my siblings. Made up the greeeeatest game that combines tag and dodgeball. Neat! The idea actually came from my mom, refined by my six year-old brother. No pictures, but just know that it is awesome.

Family time! At my parent's today to have a later birthday celebration for my youngest little bro. Showed up around 11:30am and the little people were still in pjs - got them dressed, took them to the park and had a great time. Park, cupcakes, fun - all in all a great day!

Beautiful Autumnal Equinox!
I suppose I should have taken a seasonal photo for today but I remembered to take a photo later at night. Next time. Today's photo is of a dumpster. The truly beautiful part of this for me is the amazing lighting around it - it looks like a grotto where magical things could happen!Monday, September 21, 2009
Ever see the movie Memento? That was my life for today - not the plot, but more in the "normal" events of my life broken down into small segments and played out entirely in reverse. That was my day today.
Started out the morning by riding my phone like a skateboard. What is it with me? Ended the evening with a great new home audio system and $105 wealthier. I'd say that is a good day, indeed!

I couldn't resist posting this photo for today. This couch was huge! Unless you are 6'5", you couldn't comfortably bend your knees without perching on the edge of your seat on this couch. It was Morgan's idea to pose like a creepy doll.
Spent the day with Morgan's parents in Bellingham. Thrift store shopping, furniture browsing and dinner. All in all, a great day.

Happy 3rd Birthday Zackary!
My youngest little bro turns 3 today! Going home this weekend to celebrate. I love my little siblings :)

Just a few days away from the Autumnal Equinox, and the local grocery store is tempting me to purchase ten of these and make jack-o-lanterns for my... apartment building? Lame. My recent move has saved the skins of a few lucky pumpkin. But then again, there is always pumpking pie!

These little buggers are all around Bellingham. This one in particular is the smallest I have seen yet. I've found some that looked about an inch and a half in length! They just chill in the center of their spiderwebs and don't move around much. Great photo opportunity!

Spent some quality time with Morgan this evening. Put on Hot Fuzz while waiting for cornbread to bake and dinner to be ready. I'm diggin the layout of our new apartment more every day. Dinner, then lounged around watching Point Break and eating ice cream. I could do this more often. :)

My stairway to heaven goes down. This is my view at the end of each work day, when my day truly begins.

Started early today with Morgan again. Took care of a few more errands for our new apartment and went grocery shopping for the first time in over a month. Must have eggs!
I've spent much time daydreaming about creative projects lately (as this last month has been work work work) so I took our entire combined book collection and arranged them in order from rosy red, through the color sequence, ending with black. Wonderful! I love the end result. My bookshelf acts as a room divider and is the first thing you see when coming through my front door. RAINBOW SURPRISE!

We have a new couch! And a pantry! Photo later, today has been sooo busy. Morgan and I started as soon as we woke up, had a quick late breakfast, and kept going. My cell phone has a step counter, and according to this thing it says we took over 11,000 steps this day. Awesome!
Today's photo is of the biggest hand made and hand carved bird cage I have ever seen. Scratch that, this is a Pterodactyl cage. This thing was priced at Ten Thousand - woah! It also looks like it has never been used. What would you put in something like this if you were not using it for birds? You can somewhat guess at how big it is by the bits of chair in the shot. You could easily fit three of The Rock in this thing.

Sara came up here for a hair appointment and to see our new apartment. I referred her to the place I went to a couple weeks ago, and her hair looks and feels incredible. She was very pleased. :) Panda Express and cupcakes, plus a trip up to Birch Bay to cram our last piece of furniture into the back of her van. Our apartment is complete - now we just need a new couch, and a pantry, and maybe a...

Busy day today with the six little people in the house. So far it has been fun. They keep asking me to play the hard parts on Super Mario for the Super Nintendo - I'm down.
Today's photo is of dragonfruit. The bright pink and green tips are the rind and the white with black seeds is the inside of the fruit. If you've never had it, I'd love to describe it to you as having the texture and consistency of a kiwi, but the watery fruitiness of a watermelon.

Rewind to last night, 11pm.
My mom calls. She had been stranded at the Tulalip Resort Casino by a family friend. She had gone out (drinking) with her coworkers, stayed late with the family friend, and couldn't find or reach her to tell her she was ready to co. My mom called when she thought she was stranded and as Sara and I were planning on hanging out, I asked if she'd like to go find my mom. We got there and did not leave until after 1pm. All in all, my mom was having such a great time that she kept dancing and sipping beers while we "chaperoned." Got back, and my mom finally went to bed around 2:30am.
Fast forward to this morning, approximately 7:30am.
My mom wakes me up to get ready to drive to Portland. You suck mom. Get up and leave the house at 9am.
Check the oil.
Grab snacks for the trip.
Make it to Portland at 2pm. We missed our family (and our copy of Ratatouille - hmmph, I left it in Portland during our visit in July). Boy are we tired! Ready for a three day weekend in a house with six kids under 8, my grandmother, aunt and mother.

My. Calves. Hurt.
Yesterday wasn't too bad but stepping out of bed this morning was a challenge. My calves were stiff and it was damn near impossible to bend at the ankles. Damn stairs - you are supposed to tone my ass!
This was the view out of our living room window, minus the streets below. Beautiful night!

Morgan and I were fortunate to have a few friends help us move. We had four cars moving between Birch Bay and Bellingham, transporting our precious belongings! Jolie, the cat, was first to get into the new place. She freaked out and hid up in her cat tower in the enclosed bedroom for the first few hours.
Our new apartment is in a 105 year old building that is a historical landmark in Bellingham. The views out of our living room and bedroom windows are beautiful. With that view comes 80-something stairs to trek to get up to it. I must have gone up and down these stairs 50 times today, the boys much more I am sure. Many thanks and love to everyone who helped! You'll be getting great Christmas presents this year ;)
